While the majority (67.7%) of rhythmic transcripts in at least 1 genotype demonstrated unaltered rhythm (system-driven transcripts), 16.7% of transcripts lost their rhythmicity in cKOt mice (BMAL1-driven transcripts), 9.2% gained rhythmicity (transcripts that became rhythmic after the deletion of Bmal1 ), and 6.4% exhibited altered rhythm (BMAL1-modulated transcripts) (Figure 1B and Supplemental Figure 1B)
